Drag Brunch 2012 was a fabulous success! Once again, Verna Turbulence
and the Imperial
Court of Massachusetts turned out a fantastic event to benefit
the important programs of the Boston Living Center. Thanks to
everyone who attended, all of the splendid drag queens
who traveled from around the U.S. to perform, and all the wonderful
volunteers – especially the Boston
Sisters and the local celebrity judges – who gave up
their valuable time to support this great event.
Special thanks also goes to BioScrip

The Monday Night
Bowling League again selected the Boston Living Center, along
with Community Servings, as the beneficiaries for their 27th annual
Benefit Show & Raffle. More than $350,000 has been raised
over the past 26 years!
Thank you to everyone who attended the event, purchased raffle
tickets, performed in the show, or volunteered their time and
effort. The event brought in over $8,000 each for the Boston Living

Spirit magazine's 5th Annual LGBT Executive Networking Night was
again a huge success! Keynote Speaker Chaz Bono was truly inspirational.
Thanks to everyone who attended. Special thanks to Boston Spirit
for inviting the BLC to be one of the non-profit organizations
on hand.

The Cambridge
Boston Volleyball Association's annual Race for the Tiara
was a huge success with a total of $3,400 raised for the BLC!
Before a packed crowd at Machine, the event started off with a
special performance by Lakia Mondale. Amazing amateur drag performances
followed, by individuals and groups, with Evianna Waters winning
the crown. Thanks to all of the performers, to the Boston
Sisters and our BLC volunteers, and to the CBVA for choosing
the BLC to be this year's beneficiary organization. Thanks also
to photographer Israel Ferraz for his wonderful
photographs.

More than $3,500 was raised for the BLC at this hilarious benefit!
Thanks to nationally known comedian Jim Lauletta, who hosted this
event for the BLC. Starring Dana Goldberg with other special guest
performances, Live Laugh Love! lived up to its promise to be an
enjoyable evening for a great cause. Thanks to the Boston
Gay Basketball League and the Boston
Sisters for supporting the event, to Machine for hosting,
to all of the prize donors and all of the guests.

Another entertaining and successful event! Thanks to
everyone who came out in support of the BLC for Tall Paul's third
annual Holiday Cabaret.
Nearly $1,900 was raised. Thanks to Tall Paul, and all of the
performers: Lakia Mondale, Constance Waverly, Roxy Pops, Liza
Lott, Nikita Lefemme, Kunta Kenta, Raquel Blake, Karisma, Kris
Knievil, and more. Special thanks to Sister Theresa Solution from
the Boston
Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and all of our wonderful volunteers.
Whole Foods Coupon ProgramThanks to everyone for supporting the BLC at select
Whole
Foods Markets in the Boston area, by purchasing coupons at
check-out. Nearly $7,500 was raised for the BLC! The coupons -
$3.50 for a lunch and $5.00 for a dinner - each provide a warm,
nutritious and, of course, delicious meal for a BLC member. Participating
stores included Andover, Bedford, Bellingham, Boston (Brighton,
Symphony), Dedham, Framingham, Hingham, Medford, Swampscott, Wayland,
Wellesley, and Woburn.
Thanks to all of the participating Whole Foods Markets. Special

3 Scoops is a local artisan dessert cafe that specializes
in custom super premium ice cream, frozen yogurt, and non-dairy
frozen desserts. All of their products are made locally, with
organic, whole ingredients. And all proceeds from ice cream sales
- nearly $300 - went to the BLC. Thanks 3 Scoops and all of the
volunteers!

annual end-of-summer Tea Dance benefited the Boston Living Center
this year and was a huge success! Nearly $7,000 was raised for
the Center, all of which will support our HIV+ members.

BLC in its campaign to raise $200,000. On Wednesday, June

individuals who were treated to a live cooking demonstration and
amazing appetizers courtesy of Gaslight, as well as complimentary
beverages from Grey Goose.

the BLC and Community Servings.
